Where you might suspect a Japanese origin from the name “Aaiko”, the roots of this young label lay in Amsterdam. There owner and head designer Pauline Brakenhoff has worked since the end of 2005 for her own label. As co owner of Blosh a company which imports several fashion brands, Pauline got a clear vision to what was missing within existing collections. Add to that a big passion for fashion which she has had since she was young and the birth of her own label Aaiko was there.
Pauline defines Aaiko as a creative label with a designers touch. The label anticipates on the question to high-quality clothing and it has been intended for the young independent and fashion-conscious woman. The clothing has something unforeseeable, a twist. The details are well-considered and the fabrics varied. And the name? That indeed finds its origin in Japan, where it’s a popular name for girls with the meanings strong and beloved. Beloved by it’s wearers Aaiko wants to be and that’s working out fine with many selling points in the Netherlands and abroad!
